Let's start the patch game...
Your Objective Click on a patch to start feeding. Your goal is to obtain as much energy as possible in the allotted time.
Suggested Methods
- Play the game several times.
- Use the data table provided in your lab manual to record your results (Table 1). You can download a print-ready version of the worksheet as a PDF file (19 Kb).
- Try to be systematic and use "rules of thumb" or strategies; one such rule might be to feed in a patch only as long as you get rewards. As soon as you encounter an empty flower you leave for a new patch.

Some Tips Each time you "click" on a patch you are probing a flower for nectar. There are two possible results:
 Yellow = Success! You are rewarded with energy.
 Grey = Empty. You pay the cost of a search but get no reward.
Stats button allows you to read details about the game parameters.
New Game button refreshes the patches and rearranges them slightly.
Continue Exercise button only becomes active once you have completed a game.
